I published my morning skincare routine earlier in the week and thought I would follow it up with my evening skincare routine. They are a little different for obvious reasons. Let’s jump right into it.
I still use (and swear by) the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser to start my evening skincare routine. It has a smooth texture and a great application. It easily breaks down my make up as I rub gently in circular motions. Despite it’s effective cleansing, it is very gentle on the skin and leaves me feeling nourished rather than stripped. I rinse it off with hot water on a muslin cloth and my face is clean, smooth and soft.
I then use the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I have been neglecting the toning stage of skincare for years, just because it seems like one more thing to buy. It is, however, incredibly important if you think about it: you cleanse your face of everything, including its natural oils. You need to replenish your face with toner just like you condition after shampooing your hair. I use this on a cotton pad.
For eyes, I dab on the Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Cream. The green colour counteracts the grey under my eyes and the thick consistency is easily dabbed on but slow to absorb. Nevertheless, this eye cream nourishes my eyes overnight and is made for an evening skincare routine.
I use the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser overnight because it does as it says. It repairs and nourishes my tired and dry skin while I sleep. It is very thick and rich, easy to apply and leaves skin soft and replenished.
When the autumn and winter months put your skin through its paces, it is so important to have a really nourishing evening skincare routine!
