It might be mid-January and this post is late but don’t think I’m not organised. This year, after the suffering of last year, I recognise the necessity of a diary. I was kindly gifted the Dear Diary 2017 inspiration planner for Christmas and have been loving it so far.
Not only is it really attractive and fits most handbags, but it seems to have combined the best parts of notebooks and diaries and combined them. When you start the diary, it asks you to reflect on the previous year, what went right, what went wrong, what did you achieve and how did you get there? Then, it asks what you want 2017 to be, what values will you hold close? What goals are you setting?
One of my favourite parts of this diary is the mood board of the new year where you can place pictures or text to create a visual of how you want the year to look. I have, using my Sprocket printer, been able to stick down some images of friends, family and all the places I hope to travel to this year. In conjunction, the dear diary 2017 and the Sprocket instant printer, make me unstoppable at capturing memories this year!
Every month, the diary gives you all you could want. There is a calendar style month layout over a double spread for quick reference. Then there is the weekly double page spread for more detailed notes. Every week you set goals and review them at the end of every week. Every day you can prioritise what you’re doing and jot down appointments, dates and notes. At the end of every month, you reflect. There is also an activity for you to try to be healthier, happier and better organised. The beginning of next month kickstarts with a motivational quote.
It’s really just a better planned out version of the Wellness Planner I bought from Kikki K last year which I didn’t carry around because it was HUGE. I have better hopes that the Dear Diary 2017 ‘for an inspired year’ will suit me!
