Ella Eyre, Electric Brixton (12.6.14)

Tiny person, big hair, even bigger voice, I have to be talking about Ella Eyre! Most famous for touring and working alongside Rudimental in huge hits such as ‘Waiting all Night’ or featuring in Bastille’s cover of ‘No Scrubs’, Ella Eyre is a 20 year old music artist from West London and ex Brit school student.

I recently went to a concert of hers at Electric Brixton and it was incredible! She looked amazing in a tiny black crop top, sleek high waisted disco pants and a kimono as she jumped and danced across the stage. Ella Eyre opened the show with one of her new songs from her album which should be released this Autumn and finished on her latest single ‘If I go’. She didn’t drop the energy once throughout the show and continuously danced and interacted with the crowd to keep everyone singing and jumping.

Ella Eyre has a very strong voice and a different sound which might be compared to dance or R&B but, in my opinion, she offers something very fresh and new and exciting to the genre. Her most known songs currently are ‘Deeper’, ‘If I go’ and ‘Love me Like You’ so if you fancy giving her a go search for those tracks.

I think Ella Eyre is one to watch this year. She might even be bigger than her hair!
