I thought I would share with you the things I packed for my holiday. When this goes live, I will be sunning myself in Spain with some girlfriends. I am very excited and intend on doing nothing but drinking, tanning and reading on the beach. That being said, here are my holiday spoils!
Beaching it up! I have a beach towel: this ‘sun, sand, drink in my hand’ towel is perfect! My huuuuuuge black straw sunhat- slightly resembling a UFO and being the same size as my suitcase, is one of my favourite purchases. I have been meaning to buy a hat for years now but thought they’d look daft on my tiny head. I love this hat regardless. My tortoiseshell round shades are another fashion statement of the holiday that I’m suddenly only recently brave enough to wear! Bikini wise, I have two black bikinis- one with coin decoration, one plain with simple gathering on the chest. I also have a navy crochet style number to change things up a bit.
Are you being short with me? I have given up on skirts for holiday time because who can stand sticky sun creamed legs? I’m taking casual black and white shorts I bought a few years ago that are just light and airy. The red and black tile shorts were irresistibly too ‘me’ to leave and are also lightweight. The black and red floral skort style shorts are really different and they have overlapping sides which I thought was different; they aren’t sewn together though so I hope it isn’t breezy! The blue and white shorts offer a brighter outfit option as I realised by this point, everything I had bought was rather black. Regardless, all of the above I style effortlessly with white or grey plain tees or vests, either loose or tucked into the high waisted shorts.
Going out for cocktails! I have a couple flexible night time outfits to wear. The beautiful black, white and pink lace floral two piece was an absolute spoil but I couldn’t help myself. It’s light enough and cropped enough to keep me cool, yet boasts an acceptable evening colour scheme and the lacey bits are modest as well as delicate and pretty. It had to be mine. The other floral number is a loose boxy dress and I intend on wearing either of these with my black sandals.
Flip flopping. I have a ton of flip flops. That is all I have to add to this one. Brown leather ones, black leather ones, white beach flip flops, pink beach flip flops etc. I have also packed white converse and cute black sandals.
Travelling outfit! I am travelling, perhaps obviously, in my genie pants. High waisted, loose and light with elasticated ankles for short people like myself. I tuck in a plain white pocket-breasted tee and have my chunky knit cardigan for snuggles on the plane. I shall be wearing my black sandals again because they are super comfortable but offer enough walking support to wander to the shops and back when we arrive. The big bag will be carrying all of my travel essentials including my books and headphones alongside my passport etc. The size of this bag makes travelling easy as it’s pretty weekender style, however I recommend folding something over everything in it or using a separate zip compartment as there is no zip security built into the bag. Londoners out there, put your important stuff in a zippy pocket and then that inside of the bag!
To anyone wondering where the items are from, I shopped in Pull & Bear, New Look, Topshop, River Island and H&M.
I hope this offers holiday inspiration!
Love, Hannah x
