Hello my lovelies,
Lately, I have been trying to buy from and support independent stores rather than the big guys. My reasoning for this is that I get pieces that are more unusual and different because not everybody already has them and also it helps support entrepreneurs and local talent. There is one particular independent store, however, that I don’t want to keep a secret and that is Sighh Designs.
Sighh Designs is run completely by a one woman whirlwind; Polly Vadasz, a young freelance illustrator, who is currently expanding her shop with her phone cases, pocket mirrors, notebooks and laptop stickers during her gap year.
Featured above is the on trend ‘Christmas Pattern Case ’14’. I also have the ‘Hatch’ case but honestly, I didn’t have a decent photo of it! (#WinterLightingProbz).
The cases themselves are strong and sturdy and, coming from an incredibly clumsy person who drops her phone frequently, the cases withstand a lot of damage and have protected my phone entirely. The patterns are hand drawn by Polly and I just love that they have a lot of character to them.
Naturally, I couldn’t resist the Christmas case. It features all of my favourite things! Candy canes, cookies, gingerbread men, mistletoe and hot chocolate, all on a snowy background!
Sighh Designs offers a range of products, as I previously mentioned- there’ll always be something on the website that you need, right?! There’s also a range of different colour schemes, patterns and quirky text so I’m confident in sharing this with you and I believe every single one of you who visits the site will find something that you cannot leave behind!
This Christmas, try buying presents for your friends and family from independent stores like Polly’s. Don’t give the same old presents every year, or the same presents as everybody else! And if you’re not buying presents this year or have already gotten them then I commend you on your organisation and think you should treat yourself to a little something!
I will, no doubt, continue to buy more from Sighh Designs and am excited to see it expand. (I understand that this is an excuse for splurging my money on the latest additions to the collection but it’s all in good faith, right?)
See for yourselves…you’re welcome!
