I wanted to take the time to say that I hope that you had a very merry Christmas and to wish you a very happy new year!
My Christmas was fairly quiet this year, spent with just immediate family and consisted of the usual Christmas traditions of waking up earlier than usual, watching each other open the presents we gave, getting ready for the day, waffles for breakfast, turkey roast dinner with all the trimmings for lunch and snacks and naps throughout the rest of the day.
I really like to make an effort on Christmas day and thought that I would share a few snaps with you and make it an OOTD kind of post!
This year, I rocked a classic black and white velvet playsuit from River Island; it has a button up front (which was a pain as I drank a reasonable amount of alcohol and had to strip every time I needed the loo) and tried to set the look off with a bright red lipstick!
What I wore on my face: Rimmel Match Perfection foundation with Nars Sheer Glow foundation, Soap & Glory concealer, Naked Palette 3’s Gold shimmer shadow, Rimmel Scandal Eyes Liquid Liner, Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara, The Body Shop’s ‘Brow and Liner Kit’ and The Body Shop’s Colour Crush Lipstick in shade coral cutie. My nail varnish is Sally Hansen’s ‘Scarlett Letter’.
I really enjoyed my time at home with my family and feel (as you can probably see from the photo) I was nicely fed and plumped up! I was also rather undeservingly spoiled rotten this year with presents featuring the new Russell Brand book (because I love him lots and what philosopher could resist this modern Jesus?), the infamous Gone Girl novel, a stocking full to the brim of sweets and chocolate, a new handbag, my favourite perfume, some new clothes, some new make up and lots of other little luxuries! I put a lot of thought into my family’s presents this year too so I was so excited to watch them open their gifts and adore them!
With first Christmas over, I am now headed to a second Christmas at my boyfriend’s home for a few days before heading back to London for New Year’s celebrations. I really hope that whatever you do and wherever you go, you guys have a lovely New Year and face it with an open mind and a bunch of resolutions and aspirations!
See you in 2015 if not before,
