OOTD : Mixing Patterns

Hello lovelies,

Bonus post!! Autumn is here and that means I am in my element right now! I pretty much only buy clothes in Autumn, unless I am due to travel to a hot country.

I threw this outfit together quickly to meet my friend for some daytime drinking and was surprised to find that mixing patterns actually worked.

From top to bottom: ribbed stripe 3/4 sleeve crop top from Topshop, plaid scarf from Urban Outfitters, maroon wool cardigan from Topshop, Molly skinny jeans from River Island, heart necklace from Debenhams, crystal triangle from Urban Outfitters, watch from Swarovski, rings from Essential.

(My mother of pearl phone case was from Dado).

I have a make up look coming up for the make up I am wearing but I guess what stands out most is the lipstick and that is Rimmel Vintage Pink.

I definitely think that, if you’re going to dare to go bolder with prints, do it in Autumn! Mix plaid with stripes, stripes with floral and dull colours with bright prints and statement jewellery!

And just to clarify, I was wearing shoes. I would have chosen my black chelsea boots but, rather amusingly, my flatmate had accidentally run off to work in them so I settled for black Nike trainers instead! This meant I had unintentionally mixed in a sporty element to the outfit as well.

Anyway, I hope this was somewhat interesting!

Hannah x
