Having already bought some presents in October and since I am about to start making the rest, you can expect my DIY Christmas gift posts very soon! My preparation is, in some part, organisation– since I will be hosting Christmas at my house this year with Adam and all of the family are coming, but it is also childish excitement! If you, also, cannot hide your excitement and the people around you are less than impressed, here are some subtle ways to celebrate Christmas early!
As clearly pictured, I have already dug out the fairy lights. From their storage boxes to our living room, I have lit our home up with festive lights! Whilst Adam won’t let me pull the Christmas tree from the boxes, he said nothing about the tree we already have! So, eager to bring festivities into the home, I spent a good twenty minutes spinning the tree until it was full of light!
I am sure, especially if familiar with hygge, you have already brought out the cosy touches. If you haven’t, I could not recommend them enough! Red blankets, soft blankets, fluffy blankets. Well filled cushions, candles and christmas scents. Slippers, the heating on and even festive pyjamas! All of the above will have you feeling warm and festive in no time (without looking too eager for the big day!)
Start Preparing Early
If you have an abundance of festive energy and nowhere for it to go then begin your Christmas shopping now! Not only will it save you some merry anxiety later but you will be able to busy yourself now! If you’re stuck for things to do then stay tuned to HH from now until Christmas because I have some DIY gifts coming your way!
